Gender Equity Now! hints at the inequality of women's work and income compared to men's. We know Mrs. Claus is doing most of the work. Throughout time women have been responsible for managing households: cooking, cleaning, and caring for dependents. In history traditional "women's work" included toy making, sewing, ceramics, needlepoint, and women have rarely received credit for artistry and creativity. So if Mrs. Claus is doing most of the work behind the scenes, what does Santa really do with time outside of Christmas eve? Why does he get all the credit?
