Rose Bead Rosaries

The traditional rose bead rosary was made from carved rose wood, dried rosehips, or dried and shaped rose petals as these are in the photos. It was believe the warmth of praying hands would send the aroma of the rose-scented beads to heaven along with the prayer. This would please God who would listen more intently.
